How Pico Laser Removes Pigmentation

PicoPlus is a US FDA approved, Korea-made Picosecond Laser.

A Pico Laser is more effective and safer than traditional lasers.

Pico Laser’s Difference

Due to the ultra-short pulse duration and high power of the PicoPlus Laser, your pigmentation is broken down into much smaller fragments compared to older lasers.

These pigment fragments are cleared faster with fewer number of treatment sessions.

Lutronic's PicoPlus laser can deliver up to 1.8GW of power, making it one of the most powerful picosecond lasers.

This gives our doctor the ability to remove stubborn pigmentation.

How much does Pico Laser treatment cost?

Price of Pico Laser treatments are from $150.

FAQ

Most patients are able to tolerate Pico lasers sessions without much discomfort.

The Pico laser feels like tiny warm pricks on the skin.

Pico Laser treatment is very safe.

Some patients might experience a pinkish flush or mild itchiness after the laser, which goes away within a few hours.

You can return to work or daily activities immediately after the laser.

However, it is advised to stay avoid prolonged or intentional strong sun exposure for a week after the laser to avoid hyper-pigmentation.

For certain patients, some greying/browning/darkening of the existing pigmentation may be expected before it fades off.

This is normal and you shouldn’t be worried as it will fade off in time.

Depending on your skin condition and the type of pigmentation, the number of treatments can vary.

On average, about 5 – 10 treatments will be required for best results.

A few factors influence the outcome of the treatment; nature of pigmentation, skin type, skin health, hormones and sun exposure etc.

Individual results vary.

Most pigmentation, like tattoos, will not return after removal.

However, due to sun exposure, aging and hormonal changes (mostly in women), new pigmentation can develop.

It is important to apply sunscreen to prevent new pigmentation from forming.

Regular maintenance treatments with Pico Laser treatments will ensure long-lasting results.

Individual results vary.
