Skin Booster Singapore
What Is It, Cost, How It Works & 3-Step Process
Treatments from $500
As we enter our 30s and 40s, the skin starts to lose its firmness due to the loss of collagen and elastin fibres. Sadly, regular application of moisturisers is not enough to increase the production of these fibres, resulting in an increase in fine lines, creases, and wrinkles.
One option for regenerating these essential fibres and reducing the signs of ageing is to use skin boosters. What do these products do? Simply put, skin boosters hydrate and help smooth the skin from within. Unsurprisingly, this treatment has become popular in Asia, especially in South Korea, Singapore and Taiwan.
What Are Skin Boosters?
Skin boosters are products injected into the patient’s skin to improve radiance, texture and firmness. Unlike traditional filler treatments, skin boosters hydrate and enhance the skin’s quality instead of volumising and shaping the face. They can treat large areas of the neck, hands and face. Skin boosters help to activate the continuous stimulation of collagen and elastin fibres, which results in healthier and glowing skin.
Cost of Skin Boosters in Singapore
There is a wide range of types and prices for skin boosters, but generally, they cost from $200/ml to $800/ml. Several factors affect the pricing of the treatment, including the quality, brand and quantity, as well as the aesthetic practitioner’s experience, skill and expertise.
Here are the costs of the two skin booster options offered at Sozo Clinic, Polynucleotides and Injectable Moisturiser:
Session/Treatment | Price | |
---|---|---|
3 to 4 sessions with 2 to 3 weeks intervals | From $500 | |
2 sessions, done 1 month apart | From $1200 |

- Dull or dehydrated skin
- Fine lines and wrinkles

- Early signs of ageing

How Skin Boosters Work
Step 1: Hydration
There are a lot of skin boosters available on the market today, but some of the most popular ones contain hyaluronic acid. Once injected, hyaluronic acid attracts water molecules, providing deep skin hydration. This process enhances your skin’s moisture-retention ability, resulting in a plumper and firmer appearance.
Step 2: Collagen and Elastin Stimulation
Skin boosters also promote the natural production of collagen and elastin, the essential proteins responsible for skin elasticity and firmness. This stimulation helps strengthen your skin’s structure, improve firmness and reduce the appearance of fine lines over time.
Step 3: Skin Barrier Repair
The treatment restores and strengthens your skin’s natural barrier, protecting it from environmental damage and reducing sensitivity.
Skin Booster Treatment Procedure at Sozo Clinic
The skin booster treatment process follows a straightforward 3-step protocol. Check out the process below.
Pre-Treatment Consultation
During your consultation, Dr Justin Boey of Sozo Clinic will carefully assess your skin condition and take the time to understand your concerns and treatment goals. He will explain your product options in detail and answer any questions you might have. From there, he will develop a personalised treatment plan tailored to your needs, ensuring you are informed every step of the way.
During the Treatment
The treatment involves injecting small amounts of the chosen skin booster (e.g. Polynucleotides or Injectable Moisturiser) into the targeted areas. The procedure typically lasts 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the size of the treated areas. Your practitioner will apply a numbing cream first to reduce discomfort.
Post-Treatment Care
After the procedure, patients are advised to avoid strenuous activities for at least 24 hours. These activities include excessive sun exposure, using harsh skincare products or intense physical activities that may cause sweating.
It’s important to keep the treated areas clean, so do not wear makeup right after the procedure. Gently pat the skin dry after washing, and avoid hot water or steam to prevent swelling or bruising. For long-lasting results, keep the skin moisturised and use a high-SPF sunscreen.
Additionally, patients should refrain from touching or picking at the treated areas to prevent irritation or infection. Following these aftercare steps can help ensure optimal healing and the best possible outcome from the procedure.
Skin Booster Options at Sozo Clinic
Polynucleotides
Polynucleotides is made of PolyNucleotides (PNs) from salmon DNA fragments. Polynucleotides help stimulate fibroblast activities in the skin, which then triggers the surface skin cells to repair themselves. The treatment works by injecting the substance under the skin with proper precision. Polynucleotides main purpose is to repair DNA or cellular damage caused by internal factors like ageing and external factors such as pollution and UV damage. Polynucleotides can ‘turn back time’ as it makes the complexion look younger.
Injectable Moisturiser
Injectable Moisturiser is a new injectable treatment made of hyaluronic acid, which improves overall skin quality. The BDDE-free Hyaluronic acid injection treatment also boosts, hydrates and remodels the skin. The treatment has a unique feature: hydrating and fading the appearance of wrinkles and sagginess.
Injectable Moisturiser also has a triggering response to the skin tissues called bio remodelling. Bio remodelling includes tightening and smoothening the skin, giving it an inner glow. The treatment works to remodel the skin’s laxity. It is also used in other treatment procedures. Injectable Moisturiser is often mistaken for filler treatments. The difference between both treatments is that dermal fillers restore the volume while Injectable Moisturiser improves the quality.
Skin Booster Treatment Before and After
If you’re using a skin booster, it’s best to consult an experienced aesthetic practitioner to determine the most suitable approach for achieving the desired results.
As a medical clinic in Singapore, we cannot display the before and after results of skin booster treatments online. However, our medical director, Dr Justin Boey, will be able to discuss the process and results with you during a private medical consultation.
