How does AGNES eye bag removal work?

AGNES is a Radio-frequency (RF) treatment that is delivered through tiny micro-needles. These micro-needles are as fine as a mosquito sting. 

AGNES Eye bag treatment has 2 powerful effects: tighten under eye skin and melting eye bag fat.

The radio-frequency energy selectively targets and shrinks subcutaneous fat between the skin and before the orbital septum. The melted fat is absorbed by your body and removed from the under eye area.

This results in tightening and firming of the skin around your eyes as new collagen is produced.

How is AGNES eye bag treatment performed?

AGNES eye bag treatment is a non-surgical, in-clinic treatment that is performed comfortably under local anesthesia. 

During the AGNES eye bag treatment, numbing cream (topical anesthesia) is applied around the eye area, followed by local anaesthesia injections to numb the treatment area. 

Next, the AGNES RF laser is used to deliver RF energy at multiple controlled depths of your under eye skin and under eye bags. This melts the fat and stimulates collagen production.

Ice packs are then placed on the treatment area to reduce swelling and bruising.

The entire treatment of AGNES RF takes about 30 minutes.

We suggest that you avoid undergoing AGNES treatment if you have important social events within 5 days of treatment as there is significant recovery time involved.

Eye bags are swelling or puffiness around the under eye regions.

The effects of AGNES eye bag treatments are expected to last at least 1 years to about 3 years. Individual results vary.

Is the eye bag fat removal permanent?

Yes, AGNES permanently removes eye bag fat in the treated areas. The treated fat is metabolised by your body and removed from the area within weeks after treatment.

However, your eye bags might still worsen in appearance if other aspects of eye aging are not tackled effectively and if you don’t undergo maintenance treatment to slow down aging.

Is AGNES eye bag treatment painful?

AGNES procedure is well-tolerated by most patients.

We use both topical anaesthesia (numbing cream) as well as local anaesthetic to minimise any discomfort. Most patients breeze through the treatment with little concern. However, do note that this is subject to an individual’s personal tolerance of pain and discomfort.

Is there any downtime/ recovery time for AGNES treatment?

There might be some redness, swelling and bruising for 4-5 days after treatment. This is temporary but it can be significant.

You can put on make-up or concealer the next day after AGNES treatment to hide the redness/ swelling and bruising.

What is the price/ cost of AGNES eye bag removal treatment in Singapore?

The price/ cost of AGNES eye bag removal treatment is from $1200 per session. Multiple treatment sessions are generally needed.

Is AGNES eye bag treatment as good as surgery?

The results of AGNES eye bag treatments are slightly more significant than HIFU eye treatments but less than a surgical lower blepharoplasty.

In cases of severe eye bags, surgical removal of eye bags is still more effective. However, surgery has anaesthesia risks, longer recovery time and higher cost.
